How catering is priced
Most restaurants price catering per guest, with a minimum order. A typical drop-off lunch in the US runs $14 to $25 per person; a buffet with setup and a server costs more. Party trays are priced per tray, each feeding about 10 people. Private events usually have a room fee or a food and drink minimum.
